The caribous of the Baker Lake’s surroundings are part of the world’s largest and oldest herds and have allowed the local Inuits to survive.

But they now have company. Gold, uranium and diamonds, hidden under the lichen and tundra, have attracted foreigners in search of exploiting these resources, forever changing the course of things.
