Iqaluit

The surroundings of Iqaluit have been inhabited for several centuries and were discovered by Martin Frobisher in 1576. Besides, the city is quite close to the bay which bears the name of the famous explorer, south of Baffin Island. Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut and is inhabited by more than 6 000 Iqalummiuqs.
